The ingredients needed to cook Triple-Cooked Chips:
- Get Potato, peeled and cut into chips.(I like mine with the skin on)
- You need Water
- Provide Oil
- Prepare Salt
- Prepare Vinegar
Steps to make Triple-Cooked Chips:
- Wash potato and place water into a pot to simmer the chips for 20-25mins
- Place the potatoes on a tray to cool off and then place in the freezer for an hour max
- Heat a pot for deep frying.
- Fry the chips until you see a light crust form. Then remove from oil and drain.
- Repeat the process again by placing on a tray and freezing
- Deep fry until golden brown. Then remove from oil and drain. Season in any way you desire (I prefer just salt and vinegar)
Dry thoroughly on kitchen paper and leave to cool. Fry for ten minutes, or until cooked through but not browned. Remove the chips from the pan. When ready to cook them, remove the frozen chips from the freezer for the final time. Heat the oil in the pan over maximum heat until hot.
