The ingredients needed to prepare Banana and Walnut loaf:
  1. Prepare 100 g softened butter plus a little extra for greasing
  2. Prepare 140 g caster sugar
  3. Prepare 1 beaten egg
  4. Use 225 g plain flour
  5. Take 2 tsp baking powder
  6. Use 4 very ripe bananas
  7. Get 85 g chopped walnuts
  8. Use 50 ml milk

  1. Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Grease a 2lb loaf tin with some butter and line the base with baking parchment, then grease this as well.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the butter, sugar and egg, then slowly mix in flour and baking powder. Peel, then mash the bananas. Now mix together the bananas, nuts and milk with the mixture and make sure all well combined.
